Sir Alex Ferguson has praised Nani, hailing his contribution to Manchester United.

Nani got off to an indifferent start to his United career After joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2007. He showed potential but was unable to sustain a run of good form but slowly he bedded in, finding his feet and becoming an integral part of the team.

Last season particularly he found the net and helped team mates find the net in abundance with 10 goals and 21 assists and Sir Alex has saluted how the Potuguese midfielder has come along,

“I think he’s always had that potential. Everyone coming to a club from abroad, some can do it quickly but others gradually grow into the club and I think Nani’s one of those.

“I think even Cristiano [Ronaldo] took two or three years to get a maturity in his game and that’s what we’re seeing with Nani now.

“You see his stats for assists, goals have been fine but his assists are very, very high so he’s progressing really well.”

Well I don’t think he’s as good as C.Ron but he is very determined and lays at a very good standard. Its just unfair that he is compared to C.Ron all the time. He can be frustrating at times but he is our most dangerous player.
