Manchester United continue their pursuit of Man City on Sunday, with a trip to London to face Premier League newcomers Queens Park Rangers.

The Red Devils travel without a whooping eight first team squad members with Tom Cleverly, Darren Fletcher, Anderson, Javier Hernandez, Rafael Da Silva, Fabio Da Silva, Michael Owen and Nemanja Vidic all missing.

United know a win will take them on top of the league table, at least for a few hours, as Manchester City entertain Arsenal later at the Etihad Stadium.

Loftus Road is not an easy place to go, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men will have seen the trouble Chelsea and Man City had there but with the New Year drawing near, the reds would not want to squander a chance to go top.

Queens Park Rangers have never beaten Manchester United in the Premier League and with the Champions often hitting top gear in the second half of the season, mid December would not be a bad time to begin such an expedition.
