Following some brilliant form this season, Sir Alex Ferguson has praised defender Jonny Evans.

Evans is coming full circle, having endured some torrid times at the back for United, he now has a shout for being named our best defender this season.

Not too long ago Evans was being spoken of as having no future at Old Trafford. His name on the teamsheet was met with groans but Sir Alex is wondering if these people are questioning their judgement, as Evans has regained the form that saw him so highly rated when he initially broke into the United team.

Speaking in United Review & Inside United, Sir Alex said:

“When I think back to the time when so many critics were ready for me to move Jonny on, I hope that they’re questioning their judgement.

“Because the boy has been in sure form lately and was, in fact, many people’s choice as man of the match in the game against Spurs.

“He’s been tremendous.

“Jonny’s one of the best in our defence at coming out with the ball. He’s a terrific user of the ball and he’s quick. I’ve been pleased with him.”

One response to ““I hope that they’re questioning their judgement””
