Manchester United face Aston Villa at Old Trafford today with the hope of restoring the 5 point gap.

With Man City winning 6-1 at Carrow Road yesterday, the pressure is well and truly on United. Whilst this looks like a certain 3 points, nothing can be taken for granted though; who expected Wigan to emerge victorious on Wednesday?

United will need to guard against complacency and put on a better performance than against Wigan if they are to restore their lead at the top of the table, odds are they will.

Starting XI: De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Young, Rooney, Welbeck

Subs: Amos, Jones, Berbatov, Giggs, Hernandez, Nani, Cleverley

A very very important game now. I’m still angry about the Wigan defeat, I felt the players were very careless in their performance which is disappointing. However it has happened and we have to get back to winning ways. I guess we have to look at it as if Man City has beaten Arsenal.

It’s vital that the players come out today and perform to their best and get the 3 points. Everton next week id big, but first we must get the 5 point lead back. I’m expecting strong performances from certain players. Young, Welbeck and Rooney need to start performing and not relying on Valencia for everything.
