Lucas Moura’s agent has declared his client’s move to Manchester United is dead, after United refused to budge from their current offer.

Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that the young Brazilian is a player that he is looking at in a presser yesterday, but, according to a number of newspapers, United have seen a number of bids for Moura rejected by Sao Paulo who are said to be holding out for £30m for their player.

Moura is said to have his heart set on a move to Old Trafford so this news will come as a blow, not only to him but to United fans who had hoped that the young Brazilian would become the latest addition to Sir Alex’s team this summer.

Speaking to UOL, Moura’s agent Wagner Ribeiro said:

“They have reached their limit.

“Lucas Moura won’t leave. He is happy at Sao Paulo. We have to forget this subject. There is no possibility he leaves now.

“Manchester United made an offer, which was rejected and they won’t make another one as they have reached their limit.”
