For his 1000th league match Sir Alex Ferguson takes Manchester United to the south coast to face newly promoted Southampton.

United will hope to take 3 points but will be weary of The Saints who should they have a bit of bite about them when they took on Man City at The Etihad.

The return of Rio Ferdinand should alleviate some of the pressure on United’s back line, having had to draft Michael Carrick in as an emergency center back. His return means Carrick can return to midfield where he partners Cleverley.

Starting XI: Lindegaard; Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Carrick, Cleverley; Valencia, Kagawa, Welbeck; RVP

Subs: De Gea, Evans, Giggs, Hernandez, Nani, Scholes, Powell

So, Fergie the tinker man strikes again!. No Anderson in the squad, DDG dropped?, Welbeck playing on the wing? and whats going on with Nani? Also did the Manager not say that Buttner would start or be involved?. I wish the Manager would keep a consistent side instead of constantly messing around with the starting lineup.
