Josh King will undergo a medical at Blackburn today, as former Manchester United Henning Berg defender looks to make the 20 year old his first signing at Ewood Park.

Whilst the move will initially be a loan, it is though Berg will look to make the deal permanent in January according to BBC Sport.

King was used as a substitue in Tuesday’s defeat to Galatasaray, and has already forced his way into Norway’s national team but the chance to play first team football rather than at u21 level will have played a big part not only in his decision to go on loan, but also in his decision whether to join Blackburn permanently.

This will be Kings 4th loan after a stint at Preston, an unremarkable spell at Borussia Mönchengladbach and an improved showing at Hull.

With his current form at u21 level and the promise he has shown, you would hope that move is actually just a loan and the permanent part of it doesn’t take place.
