Despite club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi claiming that PSG had made no contact in regards to signing Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, it hasn’t stopped Zlatan Ibrahimovic from trying to woo the striker.
There has been increased speculation about Rooney’s future in recent months with the striker linked heavily to PSG but whilst he is deeply impressed with Rooney, earlier this week Al-Khelaifi insisted that his side had not made any move for the United man.
But that hasn’t stopped Ibrahimovic from voicing his opinion, telling The Sun Rooney should join ‘the best project in football’:
“If he wants to be part of the best project in football then there is only one club to sign for.
“Only he knows the decision he is going to make in the summer but the project we are trying to build here is clear.
“We are not content with being the dominant force in France, we want to be the top club in Europe as well.
“I can understand why the owners are interested in Rooney – he is in the top 10 of strikers in Europe.”
