According to the Daily Mirror Manchester United have their eyes on an Atletico Madrid player, and it’s not Radamel Falcao.

United have apparently been on the trail of the Columbian striker but in their pursuit of the hitman it appears another player has come to the club’s attention.

Elliot Kebbie, 18, is currently Spanish football’s only English talent having headed to the Spanish capital 2 years ago.

Having come through Leeds’ academy, a move to Atletico was a huge step but he appears to have taken to the Spanish game pretty well and following some impressive showings for their u19s he was asked to train with the 1st team.

The Mirror‘s report claims:

Kebbie, 18, came through the youth academy at Leeds before moving to the Spanish capital to join Atletico two years ago.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been keeping tabs on Kebbie, who can play right-back as well as in midfield, with a view to making a bid.

United were monitoring Kebbie two years ago, before he moved to Spain, but decided against a £1million move for the youngster.

But they have revived their interest.

The report then goes on to claim the Javier Hernandez may be used to lure Kebbie and Falcao to Old Trafford, but whether United will be willing to part with the Mexican remains to be seen.
