James Rodriguez is aware of interest this summer

Porto’s James Rodriguez claims that there have been a number of offers for his services this summer, but he would be happy to stay in Portugal if no move materialises.

Manchester United have been linked with Rodriguez for a number of years, with the Columbian heralded as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo but no move has materialised. It was thought United came close to securing his signature last summer, but when Nani’s move to Zenit St Petersburg collapsed so did United’s move for the forward.

Porto are known to drive a hard bargain, commanding high fees for their players and Rodriguez is no different with a fee of £45m banded around previously. And with Monaco said to be sniffing around the 21 year old his fee could rise even further.

TalkSport claim the forward is aware of interest this summer but is in no rush to leave Portugal, having won his third league title this season:

“There are offers from other clubs but if I stay at FC Porto another year I’ll be satisfied because it’s a winning club.”
