With Man City poaching the head of coaching at Manchester United Soccer Schools Gavin Rhodes back in March, David Moyes is looking to fire back and snap up a highly regarded member of City’s youth set up.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Moyes is looking to add City’s head of academy operations and administration Neil Roberts to his back-room staff in a similar role.
Roberts is based in Bahrain at one of City’s academies, but has earned a strong reputation despite having only assumed the role in 2009 after calling time on a career that saw him play for Wigan, Doncaster, Wrexham and Rhyl as well as earn caps for Wales.
It isn’t thought that Roberts’ appointment will interfere with the work Paul McGuiness is doing at United, especially important with the changes in staff that have already taken place since Moyes’ arrival.
@TheBusbyWay He’d do way better by grabbing Jim Cassell who is a free agent at the moment.
Muppet, the clue is in your own comment ‘free agent’, meaning your pathetic club would not be poaching from the real club of Manchester.
