Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff believes that Thiago should be allowed to leave Barcelona if his chances of playing are limited.
Thiago has been linked with a move to Old Trafford but Barcelona were said to be doing all they can to persuade the starlet to stay at the Nou Camp.
Marca claim that the Catalan club are finally ready to accept defeat but there has been no change in circumstance and Thiago remains a Barcelona player despite having informed his club that he wants to join Manchester United and Cruyff believes that he should be allowed to leave.
Cruyff has been very vocal in the past week also offering up his thoughts on Messi and Neymar and said of Thiago:
‘At this point comes the philosophy of the club – you should assign, sell and invest in a player and do it as what you think is right.
‘If he really has little chance to play, then he has to go. It all depends on Barcelona’s plans.
‘However, if Barca tell him that he will be a starter, he should stay put. It’s all quite simple really.
‘Thiago has a lot of quality and he has plenty of time as he’s still young. Any decision he will take will prove to be a good one.’
With Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas all ahead of him in the pecking order it is unlikely that Thiago will see a significant improvement in his situation bar an injury to one of the three ahead of him.

“Thiago has a lot of qaulity and he has plenty of time because he’s still young” Ironic coming from a man that got his first taste of senior football at the age of 15 and became a regular the next season. Thiago may not be as talented Cryuff, but make no mistake he isn’t that far behind!! Besides. the man is 22 years old. He has been patient long enouh and needs to move on to start in another great club.
They should allow thiago to move on hence they can nt grantee him first team play and Manchester united is the right place for him can wait to see him in united jersey next season
