Adnan Januzaj

Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj is targeting a place in David Moyes’ team next season after impressing during United’s pre season tour of Asian & Australia.

Januzaj is being touted as a potential star of the future and has done his chances no harm with a string of impressive showings during pre season.

The Belgian was set to make his first team debut against West Brom on the final day of the season but a spirited comeback from the midlands club scuppered Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans.

But Januzaj is not to be deterred and is now planning to break into David Moyes’ squad for the upcoming season, and feels he has the perfect mentor to guide him through the early part of his United career:

“My target for the season is to try and get some games for the first team.

“I have not spoken to the manager about it yet but I would prefer to do that rather than go out on loan.

“That is what I came here for. Everyone wants to play for Manchester United.

“For the first few months when I came here, it was very hard but gradually, my English started to improve. I could speak to other people and connect with them.

“Now I feel confident and happy to be with the players, and in particular Ryan Giggs. Every time I need to ask something, I go to Giggs. He helps me quite a lot.”
