Cesc Fabregas

Manchester United’s pursuit of Cesc Fabregas may be over after Barcelona’s new manager Gerardo Martino said he would reject any advances for the player.

David Moyes said United’s attempts to sign Cesc are on going, but having had a number of bids rejected it was believed that United signing Cesc was a lost cause.

Yesterday night reports emerged that Cesc would be open to a move to United, linking up with former team mate Robin Van Persie, but Martino’s comments today make a deal between the two clubs seem highly unlikely.

Barcelona had said that they would wait to appoint a new manager before making any decision on Cesc and when the Argentine manager was asked about the player he simply replied:

“Man United want Cesc? If the club rejected two offers, I will reject it a third time. Cesc will be here.”

These comments seem to put an end to the on going saga, but with the number of twists and turns we have seen so far I believe there is still more to come.

David Moyes, for god’s sake forget all about FABREGAS and go do yr very utmost to sign ILKAY GUNDOGAN (if possible) because HE is the ideal player to substitute Schole’s position.

How many more public rejections is Moyes going to take before the penny drops? Nobody wnts to play for Moyes.
Well, not the worlds elite anyway. Sure he could sign some average joe, say Cabaye?, but he will add nothing to the squad.
