Shinji Kagawa turns Lucas

Shinji Kagawa started this evening’s game against Liverpool and depending on who you speak to, the Japanese playmaker was either impressive or pedestrian.

Dortmund fans have been campaigning for Kagawa to be ‘freed’ and today Moyes did just that, after the uproar of him being left out of the Manchester Derby and personally I think his display was encouraging.

Whilst some think Kagawa is wasted out wide, others think it is a role that can work and although he looked decent cutting in, getting involved in the play, it was later in the game when he started moving centrally that he shone, with his most notable contribution being a move where he turned Lucas and fired off a shot that rattled Liverpool’s cross bar.

Here are Kagawa’s match highlights, have a look and judge for yourself!

Why isn’t zaha been given a chance , he deserves a run out there esp after the pre season he had , we’re killing his confidence a bit

I’ll advice moyes to always play Januzaj and Zaha from the bench to blend them perfectly to the starting eleven because this lads will be the strenght of tomorrow’s united. United is our brain.

I am going to be truthful and neutral here.

    1) Kagawa….can’t defend for shit but he does still try VERY HARD which is actually a compliment.

    2) Liverpool did their homework. They close down kagawa faster than they close into nani. Shows the importance of kagawa.

    3) He was amazing when he was in the centre but out wide on the left, he doesn’t seem to feel lost. That is what i saw anyways

    4) He should be playing behind Hernandez and rooney can be played on the left side since rooney is faster and his crosses has more pace.

    5) Keep passsing the ball to kagawa when he makes his way into the centre. Don’t just rely him to hold the ball in the wings and wait for something to happen. He is a damn good player but he ain’t no magician.

    6) Play kagawa in every single game (if he is fit) dumb as moyes

    Sincerely
    Napoli fan/football fan in general

  9. tonka says:

kagawa played good but not great well this was his second game anyway he just needs more games to bring his fittness back. Moyes said kagawa needs to work more to get starting 11 so I wonder what young did to get the nods ahead of kagawa? young must have worked hard then. go kagawa we got your back bro.

  10. akash says:

Moyes a big request to you as united fan i have watched kagawa playing for dortmund his real place is in central midfield even in japan he play in midfield then play him behind striker because he can score goals and give good passes don’t play him in as winger. Play him in central midfield then you will see how he play. He like 1-2 passes and in united we got player these type of player cleversly, ando even fellaini. Like barcelona and arsenal does.
