Despite manager Michael Reschke insisting that he is not for sale,¬†Manchester United are ready to spend big to secure the signature of Bayer Leverkusen’s Lars Bender.

David Moyes has reportedly been given a war chest in the hopes that he can reverse United’s fortunes, and whilst Ander Herrera and Leighton Baines have been identified as potential targets, The Daily Star believe Moyes will attempt to rival Arsenal for the German international’s signature.

Bender has been linked with United before, and the club’s official website went as far as writing a mock scouting report on the midfielder where they claimed:

“Bender would be a very good addition to the squad. Being just 23 years of age he could still develop in one of the best midfielders in the world. He can play in three different positions which is a huge plus point, and so United could use him as a right back or as creative midfielder or as an anchor man in our Champions League games away from home.”

Moyes has actively pursued midfielders in the hopes of shoring up United’s weak spot. A ¬£20m move for Bender would go some way to improving United, but with Arsenal’s growing German contingent advising Wenger to move for the midfielder, United may miss out on the 24 year old.

Are you even a Utd fan? Adnan isn’t in the squad, Rooney is injured & you’ve left out one of the only truly world class players we have!

Bender and herrera will be good additions but I dnt think bains should be bought.Dont get me wrong coz bains is very good but why buy him when he is 28yrs old and we have Evra and the youngster buttner who can play well?…the best formation I think moyes can go for is 4-2-3-1.he should use rafael, smalling, vidic and evra in defence.carrick and rooney in the mid.then nani(RAM),kagawa(CAM) and giggs(LAM)…finaly RVP as the lone striker.rooney is very, very good but he is not a through and through playmaker but kagawa moyes can utilize rooney’s aggresiveness and long passing abilities in mid.besides,he better at defending than kagawa.fellaini is too slow and so far he has been poor.giggs gets that spot for me because he is better creative wise than welbeck.smalling has played good football so the man city game he wasnt just covered by valencia and that is one of the reasons why I would choose nani over him…and we should give cleverly some time just like we did with carrick.anderson, young and valencia should definately be sold to leave space for knew guys.jones should just be converted to a holding mid completely because he plays better than anyone we have in that role.he is the same guy sir alex used in big games in that position.

What I see is like moyes don’t like kagawa playing patter cos he show give the guy full game and support

  7. Aussiehopper says:

Dont give Moyes any money for a war chest, he has already wasted $27 million on
an average player from Everton, if Fellaini is one of the World class players he
says Manchester United need he must be living in fairyland.

  8. akash says:

Dude fellaini need time he is a world class player but think yourself everton and man utd trainning method is very different and united is train like a professional he even said that in his interview that manutd training is different but he will adapt. You will see fellaini will be the biggest star one day. Dont worry about him. We must help moyes to know all united player very well so that he can choose his best 11. We must be patient
