Fulham’s Sascha Riether has apologised to Adnan Januzaj after stamping on the 18 year old during Fulham’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United at the weekend.
Riether’s actions went unpunished during the game, but the defender was retrospectively charged by the FA yesterday with violent conduct.
Now Riether has taken the opportunity to apologise for his actions, claiming frustration got the better of him.
Speaking on his Twitter account, Riether said:
I want to say I am sorry to Adnan Januzai.It was very unlike me and I can only say that frustration got the better of me.
