Everton Ribeiro

Cruzeiro’s Everton Ribeiro has told Brazilian TV that he wants a move to a big club, specifically mentioning Manchester United.

Ribeiro has been linked with an €8m move away from Cruzeiro and having rejected a move to Spartak Moscow earlier this year, is eyeing a move to one of Western Europe’s big clubs.

Ribeiro, formerly of Corinthians, joined Cruzeiro at the start of the year but impressed as his side marched to the Brazilian title.

Ribeiro has said he is focused on Cruzeiro for now, but admits he wants a move to a big European club with Manchester United specifically on his radar.

Speaking to Sportv, the 24 year old said:

“I haven’t talked with my agent yet.

“I asked him to talk only with Cruzeiro and let me focus here as I still have one more game to play and I want to end this league well.

“I will continue doing my job here at Cruzeiro but plan on getting to a big club. It’s a dream I’ve had since young, I’ve always liked Manchester United.”

Ribeiro has also been linked with Liverpool, but with him specifically targeting United a move by Moyes for his signature would leave the Merseyside club very much in the shade.
