Van Persie training

Despite rumours of a  bust up with David Moyes and a transfer request on Tuesday, Robin Van Persie is set to boost Manchester United with a first team return.

Moyes was coy about the Dutch striker when asked about him during his Friday presser, but Goal.Com have revealed that the striker took part in his first full training session in a month yesterday.

Van Persie hasn’t played since scoring the winner against Arsenal last month and whilst he isn’t confirmed to play against Newcastle in United’s lunchtime kick off time today, the website believe he has a chance and will meet with Manchester United’s medical staff in the morning to discuss how his groin has reacted to the session.

There were rumours at the start of the season that Van Persie wasn’t to enamoured with Moyes’ coaching methods, especially after having his sessions tailored last season to ensure he remained fit. This season he has been plagued by niggling injuries and doesn’t look like the same player that fired United to the title last term.

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has somehow got pally with someone at Old Trafford (arf) and secured info of a Van Persie transfer request and leaked it to an Irish radio station… very believable.

I think this is simply a case of the Liverpool man taking advantage of the situation at Old Trafford, with Moyes struggling and being questioned after yet another defeat.

Whilst Lawrenson is a plank, he is no worse than the people that believe him!

    Good well written article.

Lawrenson is annoying but he does still have plenty of contacts in the game so it wouldn’t be too surprising if he did have someone feeding him some info.

No smoke without fire as they say but I still think we should give DM time to steady the ship. It would be disrespectful to SAF not to. It was his choice and he never steered us wrong before now.

Moyes is not being fair with Robin and am as well very angry with him. how comes Robin was superb and played 90 games each after the other only for now to be an injury case and he infact complained of methods of training. AM ANGRY

Am sure SAF got this one all wrong.DM has proving to us already that he’s a failure,we do not have to give him anymore time to put us in more trouble than he has

With this recent criticism from Rio, i believe David Moyes days at United are numbered. He is gradually loosing the changing room confidence. I weep for my united!!
