Bruno Gomes has joined Internacional on a 3 year deal, ending a well publicised dalliance with Manchester United.
The Brazilian teenager was thought to be in Manchester United’s plans after undergoing what was thought to be a successful trial at Old Trafford but during the summer the club showed a reluctance to sign him. This soon changed and it was believed that United were back in the hunt, alongside Real Madrid and Udinese for his signature.
With United’s ties to Desportivo Brasil it was believed that they would be at the front of the queue but Gomes, 18, announced that he had joined Internacional tweeting:
Thanks MUFC fans for all, but, now I'm Red from southern Brazil – Sport Club Internacional!!! ????????????

United had first refusal on Gomes, so it is likely that the club passed on him as it was believed they would in the summer.
The striker, who became a hit with United fans due to his tweets in support of the club, scored over 100 times in 3 years for Desportivo but he will be taking his talents to Porto Alegre.
Only time will tell if the decision to pass on him proves a correct one.
