Hernandez has lamented his lack of playing time this season, suggesting that he may have to leave Old Trafford to get the starting position he desires.

With Tottenham monitoring him, manager David Moyes has rejected claims that Hernandez could leave, but reports this evening are linking the Mexican with a move to the Giuseppe Meazza.

had been linked with a £15m move for Inter’s Colombian midfielder, apparently sending representative to thrash out a deal with the former Serie A giants, but later it emerged that Hernandez could be used as a makeweight in a deal to bring the 27 year old to Manchester.

The Mexican striker is a firm fan favourite and has shown that he is capable of impressing when given the chance.
