Sevilla have warned Manchester United off Ivan Rakitic saying that they are sure the midfielder will be signing a new contract before his current deal expires next summer.
Rakitic is the latest in a long line of midfielders linked with a move to Old Trafford. The Croatian recently voiced his frustration at a lack of success at the Andalusian club.
The club skipper’s outburst lead many to believe that he could force his way out of the club but Sevilla have slapped a huge fee on the 25 year old to ward off interest from a number of clubs.
Speaking at a Sevilla supporters club meeting new president Jose Castro told fans:
“Ivan Rakitic has a year and a half of his contract remaining. I have absolutely no doubts that we’re going to reach an agreement with him.
“If anyone else is in a rush to have Rakitic, his clause is €40m (£33m) and we’ll leave it at that.”
Sevilla’s recent financial problems that saw them sell Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo to Man City as well as Geoffrey Kondogbia to Monaco have been alleviated meaning they are under no duress to sell the midfielder.
With a year and a half left of his contract to go, they will not need to worry about being forced to sell this January when Moyes will be looking to bring in new faces.
Why fabio is not playing. He have been there as united player for long time before buttner come. Fabio still waiting for his chance when evra come at a age. Why moyes don’t played him. His got more experiences than buttner. Having played champion league final against barcelona. And have face bayern munich too. So many big team he face and buttner get the favor of moyes to played. Welbeck also is benefit the same. He score two goal and moyes continue playing him because he is in form and have score two goal in aston villa match. I saw yesterday match against west ham. The first half the played wonderful. Its a delighted to watch them played liked that. The two central midfield jones,cleversly was controlling the game with the great rooney come to support them with his long pass ability like scholes does. But the second half seem a bit boring. The central midfield look dormant. They have given all their energy in first half itself.
My point is when moyes has played a great central midfield duo and have played superb and we lead 2-0. When the second have start i would prefer that he bring another superb central midfield duo to bring more energy and creativety so that the score change from 2-0 to 4-0.
Ex. Jones,cleversly two super young player have played super and gave every thing to creativity and defensive. When second half come they will be a bit dortment or wat they said extingwish. So in that time moyes should bring another energic duo central midfield to continue. Like carrick,fletcher
