Manchester United’s move for Slavia Sofia defender Stefan Velkov looks on, after the 17 year old apparently underwent a medical at United.
Velkov, somewhat prematurely, nicknamed the new Nemanja Vidic has previously been on trial at United. Velkov underwent a medical with United but it was believed United and Slavia Sofia were unable to come to an agreement.
This stalling allowed Arsenal to creep into negotiations but it appears that their endeavours will have been for nothing as the Bulgarian youth international is keen on the United move.
Rated as one of European football’s biggest talents, the likes of Juventus as well as Swiss side Basel are also said to be keeping an eye on the central defender but with United apparently at the front of the queue, they may be set for disappointment.
