Whilst the arrival of Juan Mata is to be announced today, the Spaniard is likely to only make up part of United’s transfer activity in this window.
With Anderson already gone, earlier in the week David Moyes confirmed that Manchester United could do more business and yesterday United’s transfer picture began to clear up with both Brazilian fullback Fabio and young winger Wilfried Zaha linked with moves to Cardiff.
Fabio had previously been linked with a move to German outfit Freiburg, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be taking advantage of his United connections to jump to the head of the queue.
With a number of players linked with moves away from Old Trafford, what about those coming in?
Juan Mata from Chelsea is the most obvious, but could there be more? News today that Michael Carrick is set to be sidelined after picking up an ankle injury in Wednesday’s loss to Sunderland could force Moyes hand. The Telegraph believe that the injury could see United move for Colombian Fredy Guarin, not the best news considering his antics in Turin earlier in the week coupled with the fact Inter seem keen to offload the midfielder!
With Carrick suffering damage to ligaments in his right ankle, midfielder is likely to be out for a month, ruling him out of United’s clash with Arsenal as well as the first leg of United’s Champions League tie with Olympiakos. A move for Guarin could solve the problem and would kill two birds with one stone if The Sun’s Neil Custis is to be believed.
Custis claims that striker Javier Hernandez is intent on leaving Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order, putting his place in Mexico’s World Cup squad in jeopardy. Whilst Hernandez has nothing to worry about in regards to going to Brazil, his lack of playing time at club level has been something that he has complained about previously.
With Inter keen on a swap deal, taking the Mexican to the Italian capital in exchange for Guarin, United could solve both problems in one.
Young and cleverley are rubbish, but they can be used as a squad player, the most important thing is they won’t moan if they didn’t get to play. If chicha is unhappy, there is no point keeping him, united have rvp, rooney and welbeck(squad player) and then they can go after diego costa or cavani.
while plannig to sell chicharito whereas fellani has nothing to offer to united..please offroad fellani for chicharito to stay.
Moyes should never try to sell chicharito,, cos hes the one of the best players who saves man utd,, when they r down to goals… Moyes do NOT sell chicharito,, WE NEED HIM
moyes bringing mata in is a good move but vidic wants to go so let him and you can buy a young one but u seriously. need to buy a playmaker and wether mata will do the job i dunno if anyone else wants to leave like nani and people like that hav been linked with a move go and have a chat with alex ferguson
Henandez is not for sales moyes should reward him by giving him more first team chance. Seriously look at the reality who has score in critical moment by keeping our honour welbeck or chicharito. Take in chelsea and sunderland match. Welbeck was in form that why moyes choose in place of chicharito. But i real who score goal. Its not fair to him. He should played regularly.
Moyes please don’t sell Chicarito,he’s one of the good player in the theatre, offload Fellaini and go for quality mildfielder that can hand us UEFA ticket. United we stand
United seriously should not 4-4-2. Stop depend on winger that when they cross we will score. I have seen it in many match it isn’t working now. Moyes should change it in 4-2-1-3.
We need a Midfield playmaker who can be at the level Michael Carrick was last year. let the older players go and bring in talents. We will be a stronger side once again.
Offload nani,A.young. And buy central midfielder and we will need a central defender also just to avoid injuries becoz in united we play many match.
What’s cleverley, nani and young still doing at OT…..moyes should use welbeck as exchange +cash to get Gundogan from BVB.
