Pierre van Hooijdonk believe Robin Van Persie will remain at Old Trafford if Manchester United bring in Dutch national team manager Louis Van Gaal this summer.
There has been much speculation about Van Persie’s future, with many outlets claiming that the striker wants out of the club following a season that has seen the champions fall to 7th place.
With injuries creeping back in, Van Persie too has struggled and with rumours of the striker being at odds with new manager David Moyes, he could be set to leave.
For the record, Van Persie himself has stated that he is happy at United and wants to remain at the club past his current deal but former Feyenoord striker van Hooijdonk claims that Van Persie could still leave, but won’t if United bring in Van Gaal this summer:
“Let me tell you one thing: if van Gaal becomes manager of Manchester United, van Persie will stay.
“Louis will bring in a number of top players and he will create a whole new team for United – which, we can see, is necessary.”
As a man utd fan , i hope van persie goes in the summer. Poor attitude, no committment all season. Injury prone 31 year old. None of the bigger clubs will want to take him, too much baggage.
No player is bigger than any club. Van persie should go if he does not want to play for the man utd shirt. Better team without him anyway. Let him stay in holland.
Yeah if rvp want to leave so let him we can benefit big money in his sales to big team
Moyes should be sacked wat is they waiting for
