Miranda vs Torres

Atletico Madrid defender Miranda has confirmed that he has received offers from both Spain and England after claims last month that he had agreed a move to Old Trafford.

Spanish paper AS incorrectly revealed that the Brazilian center back was on his way to Old Trafford and had even gone as far as looking at schools for his children but it was soon revealed to be false.

Having played a key role in Atletico Madrid’s season a number of clubs are reported to be sniffing around the 29 year old with Barcelona also thought to be in the race and Miranda has confirmed that he and his agent, Jorge Mendez, are looking at offers from around Europe.

Interestingly the former Sao Paulo center back revealed that it wouldn’t necessarily take a club triggering his £24m buyout clause to see him move:

“I have some offers and we are negotiating.

“I have offers from Spanish and English leagues and from some less important ones too.

“My agent is in Europe to decide my future, my buy-out fee at Atletico Madrid is €30m (£24m), but that can be negotiated.”

this has the smell of yet another player using our great name to get a move elsewhwere. They should pay Utd a little more respect!

It’s the nature of business. To be a good sales rep you need to throw your weight around. The end results should be a benefit to you.

If he agrees to sign for united its fine but I doubt, bcos I myself don’t believe in all dis stories anymore since we lost out on d likes of Thiago Acantara which everybody heard its a done deal, Westley Snijder. Etc. But Van Gaal pls offload d likes of Micheal Carrick, Darren Fletcher, send Welbeck nd Chicharito to loan bt keep Mata, Kagawa, Rafheal Da Silver bcos they all is gud for United.

will b good for temporal cover
I think Utd needs young n strong defenders
at d age of 29, don’t think dats d kind of players Utd need
r we trying to make up for last yr disappointment or trying to build a solid team to dominate Europe again??
