Sir Alex Ferguson has told MUTV that Colombian forward Radamel Falcao was the signing he was “waiting for”.
The ex-Monaco striker is widely considered one of the best forwards in the world despite a tough season in Ligue 1 where a severe knee injury left him with just nine goals for the campaign.
Falcao reminded us all why he has a fearsome reputation across Europe with a deadly winner against Everton recently at Old Trafford, and Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has labelled him the pick of a very fruitful transfer window.
Ferguson said to MUTV: “The big one is Falcao who we’re all waiting to see. Obviously, he has fantastic goalscoring ability.” Sir Alex also expressed his satisfaction that the deal was not a permanent one; “He had his injury so getting him on loan is the right thing to do.”
20 million later… damn we only had him for a year
