While Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will be credited with the goals, it was Daniel James who caught the attention of some Manchester United fans against Norwich. The young Welshman’s pass found Rashford in tons of space before the Englishman scored the second goal of the match.

The pass itself was James’ second assist of the season, once again coming from a wide area cross (WhoScored.com). One fan pointed out that Daniel James had been previously labelled a ‘speed merchant’ by rival fans. The ball to Rashford showcases the 21-year-old’s technical ability as well.

Others claim that the player has been a bright light in an otherwise disappointing start to the season.

What do we think?

James’ impact on this Manchester United team cannot be overstated. With three goals and two assists already this season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping the player can come up big throughout the rest of the season.

Indeed, with a match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge coming up, the Red Devils may need the Wales international at his best to be able to progress to the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
