The whole notion of Manchester United >>> England is a familiar one to many United fans.

I know of a guy who stated he is from the Repulik of Mancunia but as they didn’t qualify for the World Cup will be supporting England at the World Cup.

And that was all good and well up until yesterday.

England were captained by a Rio Ferdinand and also had Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick in the team but with Rio’s injury the whole landscape has changed.

Rooney and Carrick are both still in the team but England are now being captained by Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard.

Many United fans will be able to put their allegiances aside for the good of England’s World Cup campaign but there are more than a few who would rather not see Gerrard lift the World Cup trophy come July. Of course there is the argument that Gerrard will be playing for England and not Liverpool for that month in South Africa but the mere thought of Gerrard lifting the trophy is off putting some.

This is a purely hypothetical situation of course and for all we know England could do the normal and exit on penalties in the last 8 but if it was to become a reality, where would you stand?

I think I would be able to put it aside. We haven’t won since 66 and it’s over due and as you said he’ll be an England player not a Liverpool one.

Well said Mr Ian Brown regards the Republik of Mancunia. As I am from Scotland and normally we dont want England to do well, In my case that is not so, I want them to have a great competition, but as for that cnut Gerrard lifting the cup ha ha ha, wont happen so know need to worry.
Anybody got a vision of a 45 yard passback to Drogba need a reminder of the useless twat.
Shouldna even be there in truth if it was based on seasons form and Mr Cappelos basis for selection.
    Joke Gerrard.

As you can see I’m maltese but in my whole life I have always supported England. I hate and I love to hate l’poo. There will be NO CHANCE WHAT SO EVER that I am going to cheer that fucken damn bastardo who happens to be the only shit head that made every thing possible in his power for Chelsea to win the title.Am I suppose to support this scum of the earth and see him lift the trophy ?
