Kiko Macheda’s late penalty helped Italy to a 1-0 win against England this afternoon in Empoli.
The young striker, currently on loan at Sampdoria, converted the spot kick after Man City’s Ben Mee brought down Niccolo Giannetti with 2 minutes to go.
Macheda, who was also wearing the captain’s armband, takes his tally to 3 for Italy’s u21s after his brace against Turkey back in November.
