Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand did their part for Sports Relief by visiting with pupils from Harris School in Preston at Carrington.
The pupils, who will complete a 500 mile marathon (each student doing 2 miles) around their school, were rewarded with a trip to Carrington where they met Rooney and Ferdinand.
Speaking of the kid’s efforts Rooney said:
‘Sport Relief is an incredible initiative – it’s great to see the whole nation getting behind it to help make a difference for people that really need it.’
Whilst Rio Ferdinand added:
‘What schools around the UK do for Sport Relief is amazing. The kids love it and so do mums, dads and teachers too!’
