Danny Welbeck made a goal scoring return from injury as England beat Belgium in their final friendly before the Euros.

Welbeck had been out since injuring his ankle against City on April 30th but worked well throughout, before scoring a goal made in Manchester.

Having won the ball back in midfield, Welbeck continued his run and was found by United team mate Ashley Young. Bearing down on goal, Welbeck cooly lifted the ball over Sunderland’s Mignolet to give England the lead and the win.

The goal is Welbeck’s first for England as a senior and hopefully many more will follow.

There was also an appearance from Wayne Rooney ahead of his two match suspension in the competition.
