Like Nani, the introduction of RVP bought United to life tonight.

Reading can’t have been happy to see him coming on and he set about giving them problems, a Scholes-esque diagonal ball was an eye catcher as was this cheeky flick to Danny Welbeck.

Flicking the ball up, Van Persie backheeled the ball over a Reading player to the onrushing Danny Welbeck.
