Bryan Robson believes Paul Scholes may call time on his career for a second time this summer due to the injury problems he has battled with this season.
Scholes hasn’t appeared for United since the 4-1 win over Fulham in the FA Cup back in January and whilst he was cleared to return for United’s tie with Sunderland last month, he is yet to turn out for Sir Alex’s side.
Fellow senior citizen Ryan Giggs extended his contract with United earlier in the year, but Bryan Robson doesn’t see Scholes following suit:
“Giggsy has got another year, but he looks as fit as he was when he was 21.
“Scholesy I’m not so sure about. He’s been having a few problems with his knee. So I think he might just call it a day.
“Only he can answer whether or not he may register again in case of emergencies. But because of his attitude and the way he goes about training it is good to have him around the place.’
