United are ready to bid £35m for Fabregas

There may be light at the end of the tunnel for Manchester United in their pursuit of Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas.

United are said to be preparing a club record breaking £35m bid for the midfielder but having been told twice already that the player is not for sale, it was believed United’s attempts to sign him were futile.

Apparently not, as Sky Sports claim that Fabregas is now entertaining the thought of a move to Old Trafford.

The former Arsenal captain  initially told former Barca boss Tito Vilanova that he planned on remaining at the Nou Camp but it seems he has had a change of heart. Sky are claiming that ‘the player is considering his position having been given no assurances that he will be a regular starter next season.’

With Puyol claiming that he doesn’t expect Cesc to leave and Pique telling United that they are wasting their time with their pursuit of Cesc, if true this will come as a shock to the Catalan club.

It remains to be seen if United can offer Barcelona the kind of money to sanction such a move though.

David suppose to know that united have the problem of midfield he suppose to do all is possible best to bring cesc to united so that we can face our rivals like city,Chelsea,Liverpool and arsenal this season

We all need to slow down here. Let Moyes do his job. Two losses in a pre-season tour don’t mean nothing. As for transfers we need to be patient. Probably there will not be much additions to the squad or maybe none at all. But I think that they are trying hard to bring in some class into the squad. We all need to be a bit patient and I don’t think MUFC are chasing unrealistic targets.

I totally agree with you. We re not chasing unrealistic targets as being speculated. It is a matter of patience. We ll surely get there.

my friend do you know what a first refusal clause means?? that’s what Arsenal have in Fabregas’s contract: that would mean that the move will only take place if we either out bid arsenal or that fabregas choses utd over AFC which not gna happen & this is a clear indication that this deal is dead in the water unless our bid is around €60m.. So you see: the only choice Fabregas has to make is if he wants to give up on his barca dream and return to Arsenal or stay & stick it out for a lil longer..

do u think giggsy, scholsey & co. of the ’99 treble squad were world class before ’99 with exception of Becks.. All of them were given the chance by fergie & they played beyond their potential & became that good in ’99 my point is if we don’t give players who have a heart & love to play for the club like cabaye & fellaine & keep chasing stars we’ll fail like Real & City etc, football legendary status are not just won world class players but by players w/ alota heart too that’s what united is all about: the fact that we can win the league and CL w/o the best squad in the world. Buying world class is not the united way it tell you. Cr7 was not world class before we got him neither was cantona but they good enough to get noticed by fergie..

Moyes is not a gud man?we need someone like fellain and cabaye gud players like dt is gud for man utd?we don’t want cese dt all?how much is cabaye and fellani d two is just 30?cese is 35 for one player we don’t want is?tel moyes to say sorry to rooney for bad talk he say about him

Am so tired of Man U always wanting 2 sign players and not signing them pointing d light 4 oda clups 2 c, it was so wit Fergi and it was frustrating expecially watching how chelsea outclassed us last season, wit players and their games. Sign us good players Moyes cos some of us don’t only watch football 4 d fun of it.

  6. Jeff says:

Looking at some of these comments I,m wondering how much do some of these fans know about football or do they really support Man U , if you want to buy the league title with buying every player in sight maybe you support the wrong side and should follow our rich blue shirted friends in London or our noisy neighbours instead of giving David moyes a hard time when he has only been in the job a couple of weeks

So by your own admission you’re more than satisfied w/ the lack of progress & movement on the markets?? Pls try & take our criticisms constructively, we are only talking like this because we love utd & we believe in Moyes, & know he could do better. We’re wasting so much time that all our other back up plan to our prime targets are signing for other teams Strootman, Ginkel, Eriksen and soon we’ll lose fellaine & cabaye to arsenal & monaco respectively, if we lose out on cesc do you think that’d be fair??

      • Jeff says:

The difference between our viewsis that I understand that most if not all of the names getting put forward have not even been bid on or considered good enough for utd , it’s very rare for utd to let anyone know who they are looking to buy , just be surprised when it happens , Fergie rarely told the press anything about his targets to stop other teams trying to jump in , so watch this space I reckon that we have only missed out on one target , some of the names mentioned would not even get in our reserve team, just look at Liverpool buying up anybody just to make up the numbers , they would have been better off just signing two class players instead, I don,t want utd to buy anybody just for the sake of it , just one world class midfielder would do not three or four average ones

  7. chicharitto says:

David moyes shuld sign fellani or cabaye n bain n 4gt abt cesc all united fans shuld suport moyes he can do it lng live Red

  8. Zee says:

Should sign fabregas and get Fellani sell Rooney should go psg if cannot get none then get no one

  9. dave says:

sign fabargas or modric and buy reus! three quality midfielders I really don’t see the problem and with ed woodward our main man flying from Australia? he should catch a flight back! I agree you cant buy every player likes its the game football manager but we seriously need a midfielder if not two! strootman was available and no doubt in my mind a quality player!

I really don’t know whats going on with our negotiations! why have we not signed someone yet!

  10. stifler says:

My problem is not that we’re trying to sign players like Fabregas, it is that we can’t tell which ones are signable/attainable & which ones are not.. Pls look here how do you by pass the first refusal clause Arsenal have though???
