Cesc Fabregas

According to SportĀ despite Manchester United making daily calls to his agent, Cesc Fabregas has never considered leaving the Nou Camp for Old Trafford.

Before stepping down as Barcelona manager, Tito Vilanova told the press that Fabregas informed him that he wanted to stay at the Nou Camp and despite numerous ‘false reports’ to the contrary, this hasn’t changed.

The Catalan paper claim that a number of false leaks to the media are responsible for the transfer saga going on as long as it has but Cesc has never been in any doubt as to where his future lies:

“Cesc gave his word to Tito Vilanova before the coach’s relapse, the last thing that would go through his head would be to jump ship.”

The piece also claimed, United’s attempts to sign Cesc bordered on obsessive but Cesc instructed his agent not to entertain United’s interest:

“The interest from Manchester United has almost become an unhealthy obsession. Calls from representatives of the club to Cesc’s agent Darren Dein, are daily in an attempt to convince the player, but Cesc has instructed his agent to not even give rise to any negotiations, refusing to even sit to hear the United financial proposal.”

Amazing, when the Catalunatics were calling Fabregas on a daily basis through the press, fans, players et al while he was at Arsenal, it was not considered an obsession. Must be the Spanish morals.

Spot on, remember puyol forcing a barca shirt on fabregas? Catalonian morals I think rather than Spanish ones. United should keep on and on and on just to piss them off
