Manchester United are set to turn their attention to Real Madrid’s Luka Modric after failing to sign Cesc Fabregas according to The Times.
United’s very public pursuit of Fabregas looks to have come to an end after Barcelona again turned down United’s advances. Gerardo Martino confirmed on Friday that he would not sanction the sale of Fabregas to United, and today Sport claimed that Fabregas has never been interested in a move to United despite reports to the contrary in the media.
With Cesc a no go The Times claim United will now move for Luka Modric, in an attempt to bring in someone with a star name. Whilst still interested in Cesc, The Times claim Modric is a more viable target and that United are ready to bid £25m .

Modric is not the kind of player united need, except if Glazers and Moyes just want to fool the fans on what they preety well know that they don‘t have the intention to do(signing midfielders). If they really want to fix the midfield problem, why don‘t they go for players like Felaini that possesses all the required aggrassive quality and match him with one other holding midfielder available? But they were always going for players that are strongless, expensive and difficult to acquire.
