Manchester United’s reported swoop for Daniele De Rossi, Marouane Fellaini and Anders Herrera is reported set to fail with United encountering a number of obstacles.
It was reported that United were looking to bring the trio to Old Trafford this weekend ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline. Having made approaches for all 3 players and being knocked back, United were set to to improve their offers, rounding off a transfer window that hasn’t gone their way.
But as has been the pattern so far, United’s are facing disappointment.
In Spain, United’s pursuit of Ander Herrera is looking likely to end in disappointment after the midfielder travelled with the Basque side to face Real Madrid. Sky’s Spanish football expert Guillem Ballague took to Twitter to say of the transfer:
Ander Herrera travels to Madrid for game. He’s told the coach he’s available.

As of today, conversations for Herrera have stopped. United think 36m euros too much to pay. It’s a complex deal and not much time left

In terms of United’s pursuit of De Rossi, that too looks like it won’t be happening with Roma manager Rudi Garcia dismissing United’s attempts to sign his player.
De Rossi was said to be ready to leave Roma this summer, having been at the club since 2000, but Garcia is said to be part of the reason why he changed his mind and the French coach spoke on his player, confirming he would remain at the club:
“Daniele de Rossi isn’t only a big player, but he’s also a big man. He has been here at Roma for a long time and he wants to play with this jersey.
“We spoke when he came back from his holidays and we said that, if it got past a certain date, he would certainly remain with us.
‘He will stay here for the whole season and this is something that satisfies me a lot.”
That leaves just Fellaini. United remain hopeful that a deal can be agreed with Everton for the £25m rated player before Monday and with the player keen to reunite with his former manager at Old Trafford, it appears that United may only sign one of their 3 targets.
Hmm hopefull remains in our heart…cuz we re ol lookng 2 c new playrs at man utd…buh i thnk is jst dcvng are prepare 2do 4 us buh.ithough moyes is a right man 4 united as they renewed their banner (the choosen 1) meanwhile he is worthless cuz he dnt want spnd bg 2 brng playrs 2 man utd.
Cant believe all the false hope moyes and deadwood have given united fans over the last 6 weeks, we are now the laughing stock of world football!!!! Too little too late from united. Our midfield is the weakest of the top 4 clubs and our squad is ageing. I can see a fruitless and disapointing season ahead. #gutted
Oh well….life will go on. We’ve not done badly over the last 20 years. Maybe you could get the videos out and remind yourself.
Pls lets just stop naggin nw n wait til ddline day 2 see wat wil happn
Excuse the language, but I hope that c*** Woodward has the decency to resign.
Incompetent at best, or simply crooked.
Seriously thinking he’s deliberately screwing desls up so spend sod all then say “oh, we tried to get Fabregas etc, but they were unavailable”
How can we have had interest in 3 players now with buy out clauses, yet still go into the final 2 days, (1a match day), with sod all to show.
Beyond embarrassing.
Why so much only one player just one then we fan will not request you to buy player. We will be complete and will see how moyes will direct our winning team to glory.
Bring fellaini to old trafford moyes that it. Then you can continue your tradition to motivate young academy player and gave them chance just like you did with everton.
This is getting beyond a joke. It has been for years, the midfield is the weakest of the ‘big guns’ in europe inc Cheslea and City.
IMO we won the title last season because City were all over the place and were not cohesive. Chelsea needed the fat waitor to settle things down.
Sorry but i think we will be lucky to finish in the top two this year.
We couldnt beat Chelsea (again) at Old Trafford. Nil Nil… is that a ‘victory’ for us? Dont think so. There was no penetration. Nothing. Same old story. But heh, apparently Carrick and Cleverly are the answer…..
Woodward is incompetant. His previous job was to GENERATE income for United.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the reason why we are bidding these STUPID amounts is because he is a tight wad.
I mean, £25m for Cesc. Seriously? Arsenal sold him for £30m and he aint depreciated as a player. Wouldnt pay thiagos clause. Have not paid Feillani’s clause. Let Strootman go. Eriksen gone Spurs.
He may aswell have bid £10m for Messi.
how long should we wait, imagine man u suffer to get money and suffer to spend it again.why? Is it a curse.money is these let him without fear.
the hope moyes given us is useless,if he want man u to return the title let him buy midfiders and defender
