Cavani

PSG’s Edinson Cavani is looking for a move to Manchester United this summer and believes he and the club are a perfect match according to The Daily Mirror.

The Uruguayan striker moved to Paris last summer after a stay in Napoli but has found himself playing second fiddle to star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic. 22 goals isn’t a bad return for the striker that cost £55m last summer and the paper report that United are willing to break the bank with a £60m move.

Both Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi are said to be seeking move away from France with England their preferred destinations. The 27 year old reportedly told friends that United’s interest has made them his preference with a source telling The Mirror:

“Edinson believes he will be a perfect fit in England. He knows that United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested and would be happy to talk to any of them. But he also knows United seem the most keen and that is a factor.”

United’s lack of European football and the uncertainty surrounding the manager could prove an issue but with Cavani keen on the move, it can be overcome.

The striker would see United spending a sizeable chunk of the reported £200m warchest, interesting considering United are healthy in terms of their forwards and it is on the wings, in midfield and in defence that the team needs most attention.

100% we are not signing him. Or any striker for that matter

We already have a lot of strikers, we don’t need excess 2 requirement. All united need nw is midfielders, defenders and wingers
