A documentary is set to be released about former Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo as the football season gets into full swing.
The 30 year old, who is currently the all-time top scorer for La Liga’s Real Madrid has enjoyed a dream spell in Spain as he consistently goes toe-to-toe with the other footballer perceived to be the best of all time Lionel Messi in the race for the golden boot betting. But the documentary is set to go behind the scenes and show what the footballer is like away from the football field.
You would think that a documentary following the life of one of the greatest footballers of all time who earns upwards of £50 million per year (from 2014 figures) would be all about the cars, the women and the fame.
However the documentary, entitled Ronaldo, takes a dive into the Santo Antonio-born winger’s personal life detailing much more of his personal life than we’ve ever seen before including; Ronaldo’s vulnerabilities stemming from the broken-down relationship with his alcoholic father, his insecurities about being a good father and the very secretive deal that involved him fathering Cristiano Jr.
Created by the same film-makers responsible for the F1 legend Ayrton Senna and musician Amy Winehouse, the film shows a lot of footage about Ronaldo discussing his relationship with his child as well as the many famous loves in his life.
The documentary is set to screen for one night only on November 9.
