The Daily Mirror are reporting that Manchester United are set to table a £40m bid for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos, and are confident that they can bring the 24 year to Old Trafford.

Kroos was impressive as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, but his displeasure in being subbed off lead to renewed speculation about his future.

Post game Kroos spoke highly of United but stated that he remains a Bayern player, despite this The Mirror believe that United have been encouraged in their pursuit of the midfielder and are confident that their £40m bid will be enough to secure Kroos regardless of Bayern’s vehement stance on selling the player.

This sounds like Fabregas all over again. If United do bid for him & we’re rejected early, hope we don’t waste the entire window whilst he uses us to renegotiate another ludicrous contract with Bayern.
