Louis Van Gaal reportedly called Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos in an attempt to resurrect Manchester United’s £20m move for the midfielder claims Spanish paper El Confidencial.

It was believed that United had agreed a £20m move for Kroos prior to appointing Van Gaal, the work of the now departed David Moyes, but the move never materialised amidst rumours that Van Gaal cancelled the move.

With the United move off the cards Real Madrid moved for the midfielder, hoping to snap him up on the cheap with his contract expiring next summer.

But Van Gaal appears to have had a change of heart, and is interested in bringing the midfielder he introduced to the Bayern Munich first team to Manchester United.

El Confidencial claim that Van Gaal personally called Kroos in an attempt to convince him to head to Old Trafford but are unsure whether Van Gaal’s attempts worked with negotiations with Real Madrid going well.

Interestingly the paper claim that Kroos isn’t Real’s first or only option with Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and even Chelsea’s Ramires on the Champions League winner’s shortlist.

Hence deadwood is there as united vice executive chairman, united as a team or van gaal as a coach can hardly do wel in his regime. Ferguson reckoned that his sucex in a decade lies in hand of David Gill when he was united v.chairman. Elwood is nothin bt a deadwood and united or coaches can hardly flourish under his administration. He’s not foursighted. Sack him>>>>>>
